Exposure draft of the legislation to implement the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme

source: Senate Standing Committee on Economics
"A Senate committee examining draft carbon pollution reduction scheme (CPRS) laws has split four ways in its findings, an outcome suggesting a difficult passage for the legislation through the Upper House without amendments. In the Senate economics committee's final report, govt senators backed the legislation, while Coalition and Greens senators and SA Independent Senator Nick Xenophon lodged minority reports critical of the CPRS (EM 710). Fed climate change minister Senator Penny Wong has signalled the govt's intention to press ahead with the CPRS legislation."
