"This report examines the clean energy investments required to make Australia’s transition to a low-carbon economy and the arguments used by carbon polluters and their supporters to delay or undermine action. The report contains findings from The Climate Institute’s innovative online Australian Emissions Reduction Model, developed in conjunction with leading energy experts Mclennan Magasanik Associates (MMA). This model shows that with clean energy investments of approximately $5 billion a year until 2020 we can achieve a diverse portfolio of commercial scale clean energy options, create tens of thousands of jobs and unlock substantial savings for the economy and households through energy efficiency."
