"Ye olde hot aire": reporting on the human contributions to climate change in the UK tabloid press

"Media coverage significantly shapes public understanding of climate science and policy. To date, analyses of print media coverage of climate change have confined attention to ‘prestige press' or ‘broadsheet' newspapers. By contrast this article reports on a study of how UK tabloid newspapers have handled climate change over the seven-year period from 2000 to 2006. The newspapers represented were The Sun, Mail, Express and Mirror, and their Sunday counterparts."
