A multilaterial solution to climate change is vital

"Peak business group the Aust Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has warned Aust risks damaging its economy and trade performance unless it ties implementation of its emissions trading scheme (ETS) to progress on GHG reductions by developing nations, such as China and India. An ACCI climate change policy paper released on June 10 said there were risks in Aust unilaterally establishing an ETS without waiting for a post-Kyoto multilateral agreement on cutting GHG emissions."
