National inventory report 2007

Source: Dept. of Climate Change
"The National Inventory Report 2007 provides estimates of Australia’s net greenhouse gas emissions for the period 1990-2007 and is submitted to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) as part of Australia’s reporting obligations under that Convention. Australia’s emissions compiled according to the inventory reporting requirements for the Kyoto Protocol are reported in the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory. The principal difference between the UNFCCC and Kyoto Protocol accounting relates to the treatment of the land use, land use change and forestry activities. The UNFCCC inventory also includes reporting of indirect greenhouse gases for which global warming potentials are not available."
