"The strategy considers the likely short-term and long-term consequences of climate change on both the council and the community, and how to mitigate these impacts and adapt to the effects of predicted climate change. In addition to addressing the risks posed by climate change, the strategy considers potential opportunities that could arise as a result of climate change on the Gold Coast, such as the generation of renewable energy or providing energy-efficient services, goods and technology."
