Draft carbon pollution reduction scheme Bill

"The Government released the exposure draft of the Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme legislation on 10 March 2009. The draft legislation follows on from the July 2008 Green Paper which canvassed options for the design of the Scheme. More than one thousand submissions were received in response. In December 2008, the Government released the White Paper, entitled Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme: Australia's Low Pollution Future, which outlined the Government's policy position on the Scheme's design. The Department invites public comment on the bills."
