From prediction to action: meteorology and the war on climate

Source: Harvard International Review, Summer 2008.
"The article offers an account on the World Meteorological Organization's (WMO) rise in prominence in the war on climate change. It notes that the recognition of the fact that climate change is an issue with potential implications for world peace and if unabated will markedly increase the risk of conflicts over prime resources such as water, food, and energy has increased the prominent role that the WMO and other international environmental organizations play in the climate change arena."
