"This report presents the findings of a survey conducted as a follow-up to the ‘Who Cares About the Environment in 2006?’ survey. The ‘Who Cares About the Environment?’ research has been conducted triennially since 1994 but during the year following the conduct of the 2006 survey there was substantial public and media attention given to water resources and climate change. This included the release of Al Gore's film ‘An Inconvenient Truth’ in Australia and publication of the United Kingdom’s Stern Review on the economics of climate change. In order to assess whether public attitudes and priorities had shifted in the 12 months since the 2006 survey, the Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) commissioned this supplementary study."
