Tracking to the Kyoto target 2007

"Electricity demand and emissions are projected to grow strongly in Aust over the next two years, but decline from 2009 to 2020 as generation moves away from its dependence on brown and black coal, towards gas and the availability of renewable energy increases. The projections are made in a report released yesterday by climate change minister Penny Wong. The report shows Aust is on track to reduce emissions and meet its Kyoto target".
